on our way

Cliff and I are getting ready to leave for a little over a week or so to visit missouri (my family), kansas (his family) and then to nebraska (our friends).
We are doing last minute "get ready" things today and then off tomorrow morning. Hopefully there will not be any bad weather to slow us down!

well..it arrived

Example

Cliff and I went down to the Starkville Public Library to check out the new money magazine. I was super nervous. The photo took me by suprise because the photographer had told me not to smile through the entire four hours that we shot. Anybody who knows me knows that is a hard thing for me to do. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut. anyway. I think out of all of the photographs I laughed a couple of times. So, I guess the photo editors of Money decided that they wanted the only one of me with my W-I-D-E mouth open. I was expecting "super serious" kate and got "HA! I JUST FARTED" kate. Kind of wierd. whatever. It is out. that is me. stop by your local newstand to see it in color.

YIKES!

Wheeee!!!

This is my last day of school for the semester.
I give a final crit. with my type class at 10 and then one with my graphic design class at 12 and then I am DONE.
Sorry for the lack of updates. I feel like I am 12 writing in my diary going "dear diary, wow, it has been such a long time since I have written in you..." etc. etc. etc.

Last night I was talking with Cliff about consumerism, greed and christmas. I was worried about how greedy I was as a child and how terribly excited I would get for christmas. So excited that one year I puked up and down my grandparents hallway because I just couldn't wait anymore to open presents. I had detailed lists of what I wanted and needed down to brand, make and model of products. I remember my friend Chris Hutchison's little brother David only wanting a bag of popsicle sticks so he could make buildings and people out of them and instead of seeing a shining example of a creative, selfless little boy, I wondered what was wrong with him.

and on that note:
I present my christmas list of 2004
